15 On page 4, line 16, delete that line

17 and insert: decisions of each agency. The project management
18 requirements for agencies may vary based on the size and
19 nature of their information technology projects. Projects that
20 refresh desktop units or infrastructure equipment with new
21 technology that is similar to the technology currently in use
22 are exempt from the project planning and reporting
23 requirements in this section unless otherwise specified in the
24 General Appropriations Act.
25 1. For projects with a total cost ranging from
26 $500,000 to $1,999,999, agencies must appoint a dedicated
27 project manager to implement the agency's project management
28 methodology and ensure needed project planning and management
29 requirements are fulfilled.
30 2. For projects with a total cost ranging from
31 $500,000 to $10 million that involve routine hardware and/or

1 software upgrades for a single agency, the agency must appoint
2 a project manager to implement the agency's project management
3 methodology and ensure needed project planning and management
4 requirements are fulfilled.
5 3. For projects with a total cost ranging from $2
6 million to $10 million that will impact the general public or
7 that can change or affect an agency's organizational
8 structure, headcount, business processes, or service delivery
9 model, the agency must appoint a dedicated project manager and
10 project management team, and must ensure that all project
11 management provisions of this section are implemented.
12 4. For any project with a total cost greater than $10
13 million, the agency must appoint a dedicated project manager
14 and project management team, and must ensure that all project
15 management provisions of this section are implemented.
