3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Remove lines 92-101 and insert:
5     (4)  A landlord who owns fewer than 10 dwelling units in
6the state and who has suffered a financial loss for lost rents
7as a result of this section shall be deemed a victim, as defined
8in s. 960.03(13), who has suffered a property loss, as defined
9in s. 960.03(11), and who is entitled to reimbursement from the
10Crime Victims' Services Office under chapter 960.
11     (5)  If the respondent or any other tenant who is a party
12to the rental agreement fails to retake possession of the
13dwelling unit within 15 days after the date the victim gave the
14landlord as the date the victim would vacate the dwelling unit
15and the rent is unpaid, the dwelling unit shall be considered
16abandoned and the landlord may retake possession and dispose of
17any abandoned property in any way the landlord sees fit.
18     (6)  The provisions of this section may not be waived or
19modified by agreement between the victim and the respondent.
20     (7)  This section applies to all rental agreements subject
