1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to recreational licenses and
3 permits; amending s. 372.562, F.S.; revising
4 the exemption from recreational license and
5 permit requirements to include additional
6 military personnel; reenacting ss. 372.57(1)
7 and 372.5717(7), F.S., relating to recreational
8 licenses, permits, and authorization numbers
9 and fees and to a hunter safety course,
10 respectively, to incorporate the amendment to
11 s. 372.562, F.S., in references thereto;
12 providing an effective date.

14 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
15
16 Section 1. Paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section
17 372.562, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
18 372.562 Recreational licenses and permits; exemptions
19 from fees and requirements.--
20 (2) A hunting, freshwater fishing, or saltwater
21 fishing license or permit is not required for:
22 (c) Any resident who is a member of the United States
23 Armed Forces, the United States Reserve Forces, the Florida
24 National Guard, the United States Coast Guard, or the United
25 States Coast Guard Reserve, either active or retired and not
26 stationed in this state, when home on leave for 30 days or
27 less, upon submission of a current military identification
28 card orders.
29 Section 2. For the purpose of incorporating the
30 amendment to section 372.562, Florida Statutes, in a reference

1 thereto, subsection (1) of section 372.57, Florida Statutes,
2 is reenacted to read:
3 372.57 Recreational licenses, permits, and
4 authorization numbers; fees established.--
5 (1) LICENSE, PERMIT, OR AUTHORIZATION NUMBER
6 REQUIRED.--Except as provided in s. 372.562, no person shall
7 take game, freshwater or saltwater fish, or fur-bearing
8 animals within this state without having first obtained a
9 license, permit, or authorization number and paid the fees set
10 forth in this chapter. Such license, permit, or authorization
11 number shall authorize the person to whom it is issued to take
12 game, freshwater or saltwater fish, or fur-bearing animals,
13 and participate in outdoor recreational activities in
14 accordance with the laws of the state and rules of the
15 commission.
16 Section 3. For the purpose of incorporating the
17 amendment to section 372.562, Florida Statutes, in a reference
18 thereto, subsection (7) of section 372.5717, Florida Statutes,
19 is reenacted to read:
20 372.5717 Hunter safety course; requirements;
21 penalty.--
22 (7) The hunter safety requirements of this section do
23 not apply to persons for whom licenses are not required under
24 s. 372.562(2).
25 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
26 law.
