11  The Committee on Health Care (Fasano) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 5, lines 18-23, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 3.  Paragraph (g) of subsection (2) of section
19  499.012, Florida Statutes, is amended, and paragraph (h) is
20  added to that subsection, to read:
21         499.012  Wholesale distribution; definitions; permits;
22  applications; general requirements.--
23         (2)  The following types of wholesaler permits are
24  established:
25         (g)  A veterinary prescription drug wholesaler
26  permit.--A veterinary prescription drug wholesaler permit is
27  required for any person that engages in the distribution of
28  veterinary prescription drugs in or into this state. A
29  veterinary prescription drug wholesaler that also distributes
30  prescription drugs subject to, defined by, or described by s.
31  503(b) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act which it

 1  did not manufacture must obtain a permit as a prescription
 2  drug wholesaler, an or out-of-state prescription drug
 3  wholesaler, or a limited prescription drug veterinary
 4  wholesaler in lieu of the veterinary prescription drug
 5  wholesaler permit. A veterinary prescription drug wholesaler
 6  must comply with the requirements for wholesale distributors
 7  under s. 499.0121, except those set forth in s.
 8  499.0121(6)(d), (e), or (f).
