15 On page 4, between lines 7 and 8,

17 insert:
18 Section 2. Section 218.501, Florida Statutes, is
19 amended to read:
20 218.501 Purposes.--The purposes of ss. 218.50-218.504
21 are:
22 (1) To promote the fiscal responsibility of local
23 governmental entities, charter schools, and district school
24 boards.
25 (2) To assist local governmental entities, charter
26 schools, and district school boards in providing essential
27 services without interruption and in meeting their financial
28 obligations.
29 (3) To assist local governmental entities, charter
30 schools, and district school boards through the improvement of
31 local financial management procedures.
