14 On page 7, between lines 12 and 13,

16 insert:
17 Section 6. Section 943.681, Florida Statutes, is
18 amended to read:
19 943.681 Capitol Police program; funding.--Funds shall
20 be transferred quarterly, beginning July 1, 2002, by the
21 Department of Management Services, from the Supervision Trust
22 Fund, to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for the
23 purpose of funding the Capitol Police program. Funds are
24 provided from the office space rental receipts assessed to
25 tenant agencies in the Florida Facilities Pool, based on the
26 rental assessment mandated in s. 255.51. Transfers shall be
27 based on the existing rental rate on July 1, 2002, unless
28 otherwise appropriated by the Legislature. This section does
29 not limit the Capitol Police from providing for the safety and
30 security needs of the archaeological, archival, and historic
31 treasures and artifacts housed in the Historic Capitol or the
