11  The Committee on Transportation (Crist) recommended the
12  following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         Delete everything after the enacting clause
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 1.  Section 335.076, Florida Statutes, is
19  created to read:
20         335.076  Drawbridge warning system.--The department
21  shall develop construction and operational standards for the
22  installation and operation of a system of cameras, motion
23  sensors, or other devices on new and existing drawbridges to
24  warn the bridge operator of the presence of any pedestrian or
25  vehicle on the bridge prior to and during the raising and
26  lowering of the bridge. The department shall install and
27  maintain such system for the protection of pedestrian and
28  vehicle traffic on new and existing drawbridges on the State
29  Highway System.
30         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

16         date.
