14 Between lines 967 and 968,

16 insert:
17 Section 27. Section 196.1999, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 196.1999 Space laboratories and carriers;
20 exemption.--Notwithstanding other provisions of this chapter,
21 a module, pallet, rack, locker, and any necessary associated
22 hardware and subsystem owned by any person and intended to be
23 used to transport or store cargo used for a space laboratory
24 for the primary purpose of conducting scientific research in
25 space is deemed to carry out a scientific purpose and is
26 exempt from ad valorem taxation.
27 Section 28. Section 196.1994, Florida Statutes, is
28 repealed.
29 Section 29. Sections 29 and 30 of this act shall apply
30 retroactively to January 1, 2005.

13 which provided an exemption from ad valorem
14 taxes for certain space laboratories; providing
15 for retroactivity;
