  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to assisted living facilities;

  3         requesting the Division of Statutory Revision

  4         to transfer provisions relating to assisted

  5         living facilities from part III of ch. 400,

  6         F.S., to ch. 429, F.S., and to make necessary

  7         conforming changes to the Florida Statutes;

  8         designating ch. 429, F.S., as "Assisted Care

  9         Communities"; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  The Division of Statutory Revision is

14  requested to designate parts IV-XII of chapter 400, Florida

15  Statutes, as parts III-XI of chapter 400, Florida Statutes; to

16  designate part III of chapter 400, Florida Statutes,

17  consisting of ss. 400.401, 400.402, 400.404, 400.407,

18  400.4075, 400.408, 400.411, 400.412, 400.414, 400.415,

19  400.417, 400.4174, 400.4176, 400.4177, 400.4178, 400.418,

20  400.419, 400.4195, 400.42, 400.421, 400.422, 400.423, 400.424,

21  400.4255, 400.4256, 400.426, 400.427, 400.4275, 400.428,

22  400.429, 400.4293, 400.4294, 400.4295, 400.4296, 400.4297,

23  400.4298, 400.431, 400.434, 400.435, 400.441, 400.442,

24  400.444, 400.4445, 400.447, 400.449, 400.451, 400.452,

25  400.453, and 400.454, Florida Statutes, as chapter 429,

26  Florida Statutes, consisting of sections 429.01, 429.02,

 3  respectively; and to title such chapter "ASSISTED CARE

 4  COMMUNITIES." This division is further requested to make any

 5  changes necessary to conform the Florida Statutes to the

 6  changes made by this act.

 7         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
