14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 11, lines 3 through 13, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         372.988  Required clothing for persons hunting
19  deer.--(1)  It is unlawful for any person to hunt deer, or for
20  any person to accompany another person hunting deer, during
21  the open season for the taking of deer on public lands unless
22  each person shall wear a total of at least 500 square inches
23  of daylight fluorescent orange material as an outer garment.
24  Such clothing shall be worn above the waistline and may
25  include a head covering. The provisions of this section shall
26  not apply to any person hunting deer with a bow and arrow
27  during seasons restricted to hunting with a bow and arrow.
28         (2)  A minor under 16 years of age must wear at least
29  500 square inches of daylight fluorescent orange material as
30  an outer garment to hunt deer during the open season for the
31  taking of deer on public or private lands or to accompany

 1  another person hunting in a like manner. Such clothing shall
 2  be worn above the wasitline and may include a head covering.
 3  It is unlawful for an adult, not younger than 18 years of age,
 4  while supervising a minor under 16 years of age, to knowingly
 5  permit that minor to hunt or accompany another person hunting
 6  in violation of this subsection. A violation of this
 7  subsection is a noncriminal infraction, punishable as provided
 8  in s. 372.711. This subsection does not apply to any minor
 9  under 16 years of age hunting deer with a bow and arrow during
10  seasons restricted to hunting with a bow and arrow.
