1Representative Brummer offered the following:

3     Amendment
4     Remove lines 264-291 and insert:
5     (9)  The lesser of seven and fifty-three forty-five
6hundredths percent of the remaining taxes collected under this
7chapter or $85 million shall be paid into the State Treasury to
8the credit of the State Housing Trust Fund and shall be used as
9follows:
10     (a)  Half of that amount shall be used for the purposes for
11which the State Housing Trust Fund was created and exists by
12law.
13     (b)  Half of that amount shall be paid into the State
14Treasury to the credit of the Local Government Housing Trust
15Fund and shall be used for the purposes for which the Local
16Government Housing Trust Fund was created and exists by law.
17     (10)  The lesser of eight and sixty-six fifty-seven
18hundredths percent of the remaining taxes collected under this
19chapter or $108 million shall be paid into the State Treasury to
20the credit of the State Housing Trust Fund and shall be used as
21follows:
22     (a)  Twelve and one-half percent of that amount shall be
23deposited into the State Housing Trust Fund and be expended by
24the Department of Community Affairs and by the Florida Housing
25Finance Corporation for the purposes for which the State Housing
26Trust Fund was created and exists by law.
27     (b)  Eighty-seven and one-half percent of that amount shall
28be distributed to the Local Government Housing Trust Fund and
29shall be used for the purposes for which the Local Government
30Housing Trust Fund was created and exists by law. Funds from
31this category may also be used to provide for state and local
32services to assist the homeless.
