1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the Immokalee Water and
3 Sewer District, Collier County; amending
4 chapter 98-495, Laws of Florida; revising
5 district boundaries; raising the threshold
6 requiring disbursement of district funds to be
7 by signed warrant or check; providing an
8 effective date.

10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12 Section 1. Section 2 of section 2 of chapter 98-495,
13 Laws of Florida, is amended to read:
14 Section 2. Boundaries.--There is hereby created in
15 Collier County a special taxing district to be known as
16 Immokalee Water and Sewer District. The district will include
17 all that portion of Immokalee in said county described as
18 follows:

20 Sections 1 through 36 of Township 46 South,
21 Range 28 East; together with Sections 1 through
22 6 of Township 47 South, Range 28 East; together
23 with Sections 1 through 36 of Township 46
24 South, Range 29 East; together with Sections 1
25 through 12, Sections 15 through 21 and that
26 part of Section 13 lying Northeasterly of a
27 diagonal line from the Northwest Corner to the
28 Southeast Corner of said Section 13, Township
29 47 South, Range 29 East; together with Sections
30 6, 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31 of Township 46 South,
31 Range 30 East; together with Sections 6, 7, 18,

1 and that part of Section 19 lying Northeasterly
2 of a diagonal line from the Northwest corner to
3 the Southeast corner of said Section 19,
4 Township 47 South, Range 30 East. All the lands
5 described being in Collier County, Florida.

8 The North 300 feet of Section 1, Township 47
9 South, Range 28 East; and all the lands in
10 Sections 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,
11 and 35, in Township 46 South, Range 29 East;
12 together with all lands in Sections 1, 2, 3, 4,
13 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, and 16 in Township
14 47 South, Range 29 East; together with all the
15 lands in Sections 25, 35 and 36, Township 46
16 South, Range 28 East, and Section 6 in Township
17 47 South, Range 30 East. All the lands
18 described being in Collier County, Florida.

20 Section 2. Section 7 of section 2 of chapter 98-495,
21 Laws of Florida, is amended to read:
22 Section 3. Funds.--No funds of the district shall be
23 used for any purpose other than the administration of the
24 affairs and business of the district, the construction, care,
25 maintenance, upkeep, operation, and repair of sewers and sewer
26 and water systems in the district, as the board may determine
27 to be for the best interest of the district and the
28 inhabitants thereof. All disbursements of the funds of the
29 district over the sum of $5,000 $1,500 shall be made pursuant
30 to warrants or checks signed by the chair or vice chair and
31 countersigned by the treasurer or the secretary of the board.

1 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
2 law.
