14 On page 45, between lines 20 and 21,

16 insert:
17 Section 29. Retroactive to January 1, 2005, section
18 196.1999, Florida Statutes, is created to read:
19 196.1999 Space laboratories and carriers;
20 exemption.--Notwithstanding other provisions of this chapter,
21 a module, pallet, rack, locker, and any necessary associated
22 hardware and subsystem owned by any person and intended to be
23 used to transport or store cargo used for a space laboratory
24 for the primary purpose of conducting scientific research in
25 space is deemed to carry out a scientific purpose and is
26 exempt from ad valorem taxation.
27 Section 30. Section 196.1994, Florida Statutes, is
28 repealed.

9 repealing s. 196.1994, F.S., which expired
10 effective July 1, 2004, and which provided an
11 exemption from ad valorem taxes for certain
12 space laboratories;
