11  The Committee on Health Care (Peaden) recommended the
12  following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 1, line 22, through page 2, line 10, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (a)  For day habilitation services programs, as defined
20  in s. 393.063, the director of the facility or program shall
21  designate in writing unlicensed direct care services staff who
22  are eligible to be trained to assist in the administration of
23  or to administer medication.
24         (b)  For intermediate care facilities for the
25  developmentally disabled licensed pursuant to part XI of
26  chapter 400, unlicensed staff designated by the director may
27  provide medication assistance under the general supervision of
28  a registered nurse licensed pursuant to chapter 464.
29         (2)  Notwithstanding part I of chapter 464, the Nurse
30  Practice Act, unlicensed direct care staff who provide
31  services to persons with developmental disabilities in a
