11  The Committee on Transportation and Economic Development
12  Appropriations (Fasano) recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 79, between lines 19 and 20,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 47.  Subsection (3) of section 106.33, Florida
19  Statutes, is amended to read:
20         106.33  Election campaign financing; eligibility.--Each
21  candidate for the office of Governor or member of the Cabinet
22  who desires to receive contributions from the Election
23  Campaign Financing Trust Fund shall, upon qualifying for
24  office, file a request for such contributions with the filing
25  officer on forms provided by the Division of Elections.  If a
26  candidate requesting contributions from the fund desires to
27  have such funds distributed by electronic fund transfers, the
28  request shall include information necessary to implement that
29  procedure. For the purposes of ss. 106.30-106.36, candidates
30  for Governor and Lieutenant Governor on the same ticket shall
31  be considered as a single candidate.  To be eligible to

 1  receive contributions from the fund, a candidate may not be an
 2  unopposed candidate as defined in s. 106.011(15) and must:
 3         (3)  Limit loans or contributions from the candidate's
 4  personal funds to $25,000 and contributions from national,
 5  state, and county executive committees of a political party to
 6  $250,000 $25,000 in the aggregate, which loans or
 7  contributions shall not qualify for meeting the threshold
 8  amounts in subsection (2).
