15 page 51, line 23, delete those lines

17 and insert:
18 Section 23. Section 98.081, Florida Statutes, is
19 amended to read:
20 98.081 Names removed from the statewide voter
21 registration system books; restrictions on reregistering;
22 recordkeeping; restoration of erroneously or illegally removed
23 names.--
24 (1) Any person who requested that his or her name be
25 removed from the statewide voter registration system books
26 between the book-closing date of the first primary and the
27 date of the second primary may not register in a different
28 political party until after the date of the second primary
29 election.
30 (2) When the name of any elector is removed from the
31 statewide voter registration system books pursuant to s.

1 98.065 or, s. 98.075, or s. 98.093, the elector's original
2 registration application form shall be retained by the
3 supervisor of elections having custody of the application
4 filed alphabetically in the office of the supervisor. As
5 alternatives, registrations removed from the statewide voter
6 registration system books may be microfilmed and such
7 microfilms substituted for the original registration
8 applications forms; or, when voter registration information,
9 including the voter's signature, is maintained digitally or on
10 electronic, magnetic, or optic media, such stored information
11 may be substituted for the original registration application
12 form. Such microfilms or stored information shall be retained
13 by the supervisor of elections having in the custody of the
14 supervisor. In the event the original registration
15 applications forms are microfilmed or maintained digitally or
16 on electronic or other media, such originals may be destroyed
17 in accordance with the schedule approved by the Bureau of
18 Archives and Records Management of the Division of Library and
19 Information Services of the department.
20 (3) When the name of any elector has been erroneously
21 or illegally removed from the statewide voter registration
22 system books, the name of the elector shall be restored by a
23 voter registration official the supervisor upon satisfactory
24 proof, even though the registration period for that election
25 is closed.
