11  The Committee on Justice Appropriations (Crist) recommended
12  the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         Delete everything after the enacting clause
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 1.  Section 985.4043, Florida Statutes, is
19  created to read:
20         985.4043  Shared County/State Juvenile Detention Trust
21  Fund.--
22         (1)  The Shared County/State Juvenile Detention Trust
23  Fund is created within the Department of Juvenile Justice.
24         (2)  The fund is established for use as a depository
25  for funds to be used for the costs of preadjudicatory juvenile
26  detention. Moneys credited to the trust fund shall consist of
27  funds from the counties' share of the costs for
28  preadjudicatory juvenile detention.
29         (3)  In accordance with s. 19(f)(2), Art. III of the
30  State Constitution, the Shared County/State Juvenile Detention
31  Trust Fund shall, unless terminated sooner, be terminated on

 1  July 1, 2009. Before its scheduled termination, the trust fund
 2  shall be reviewed as provided in s. 215.3206(1) and (2).
 3         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

 8         Delete everything before the enacting clause

10  and insert:
11                      A bill to be entitled
12         trust funds; creating s. 985.4043, F.S.;
13         creating the Shared County/State Juvenile
14         Detention Trust Fund within the Department of
15         Juvenile Justice; providing for sources of
16         funds and purposes; providing for future review
17         and termination or re-creation of the trust
18         fund; providing an effective date.
