12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 4, lines 1-4, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (1)  The limitations of liability contained in this act
19  shall only apply to a corporation that is a successor which
20  continued to carry on business related to the production or
21  sale of any asbestos product for a period of no more than 180
22  days after the corporation became a successor and which became
23  a successor after January 1, 1963, but prior to January 1,
24  1967, or which is any of that successor corporation's
25  successors.
