11 Senator Wise moved the following amendment:

13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 14, between lines 9 and 10,

16 insert:
17 Section 9. Subsection (8) is added to section 1011.68,
18 Florida Statutes, to read:
19 1011.68 Funds for student transportation.--The annual
20 allocation to each district for transportation to public
21 school programs, including charter schools as provided in s.
22 1002.33(17)(b), of students in membership in kindergarten
23 through grade 12 and in migrant and exceptional student
24 programs below kindergarten shall be determined as follows:
25 (8) Notwithstanding s. 1006.22(1) and (2), if an
26 isolated student attends a charter school governed by a
27 community college, the community college shall generate school
28 transportation funding according to ss. 1002.33(17)(b),
29 1011.62, and this section. A community college board of
30 trustees may include in its charter school contract a
31 provision for parent transportation of students which is

1 consistent with s. 1002.33(20)(c), if the cost of the
2 transportation service does not exceed the transportation
3 funds generated by this chapter.

10 On page 3, line 21, after the semicolon,

12 insert:
13 amending s. 1011.68, F.S.; providing that an
14 isolated student who attends a charter school
15 governed by a community college generates
16 school transportation funding according to a
17 specified formula; authorizing a community
18 college board of trustees to pay for
19 transportation of students in private passenger
20 cars under certain circumstances;
