  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to emergency medical services;

  3         creating s. 401.49, F.S.; providing that

  4         chapter 401, F.S., supersedes earlier local

  5         acts on the subject of medical transport unless

  6         those local acts are reenacted by the

  7         Legislature; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Section 401.49, Florida Statutes, is

12  created to read:

13         401.49  Certificate of public convenience and

14  necessity; advanced life support emergency medical services

15  license.--This chapter supersedes any special act relating to

16  medical transport enacted before July 1, 2005, unless that

17  special act is reenacted by the Legislature.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

21                          SENATE SUMMARY

22    Provides that general law on the subject of medical
      transport supersedes earlier special acts. Special acts
23    must be reenacted by the Legislature in order to have
      effect.
