  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to local government permit

  3         applications; providing that a local government

  4         must act upon certain permit applications

  5         within a specified time or the permits are

  6         automatically deemed approved; providing for an

  7         extension; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  A county or municipal government must

12  review and approve, approve with conditions, or deny any

13  application for a site development plan, building permit, or

14  other permit within 90 days after receipt of the application,

15  unless the applicant agrees to an extension. An application

16  that is not acted upon within such period is automatically

17  deemed approved and the applicant may begin construction or

18  commence any other activity allowed under the permit sought.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
