11  The Committee on Transportation (Sebesta) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 6, line 22 through page 7 line 11, delete those
16  lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (3)  A person whose driving privilege is suspended or
20  revoked under this subsection shall not have his or her
21  driving privilege reinstated for any reason other than:
22         (a)  Full payment of the surcharge and any other
23  related costs.
24         (b)  The person has entered into an agreement with the
25  department for payment of the surcharge as provided in s.
26  322.753.
27         Section 9.  Section 322.753, Florida Statutes, is
28  created to read:
29         322.753  Installment payment of surcharges.--
30         (1)  The department shall by rule, policy or procedure
31  provide for the payment of a surcharge in installments.

Of less than $2,300 over a period of more than 12 4 consecutive months; or 5 2. Of $2,300 or more over a period of more than 24 6 consecutive months. 7 (b) May provide that if the person fails to make a 8 required installment payment, the department may declare the 9 amount of the unpaid surcharge immediately due and payable. 10 (3) The department may by rule authorize the payment 11 of a surcharge by use of a credit card. 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 2 12:18 PM 04/04/05 s2434.tr16.111
