11  Senator Bullard moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 59, lines 26 through 30, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         (a)  It is the intent of the Legislature that the
18  Department of Education use innovations in technology and
19  assessment to allow the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test
20  (FCAT) to be administered no earlier than March 15 in 2006, no
21  earlier than April 1 in 2007, and no earlier than April 15 in
22  2008 and beyond. It is the intent that scores will be received
23  before the end of the school year, but scores for students in
24  grade 3 and students in grade 12 who are taking the test for
25  graduation purposes shall be returned before the end of the
26  school year. Other student scores shall be returned no later
27  than June 15 of each year.
