11  The Committee on Judiciary (Campbell) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 3, lines 4-5, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon
18  becoming a law. The provisions of this act amending section
19  634.271, Florida Statutes, apply retroactively to January 1,
20  1998.
