11 The Committee on Judiciary (Webster) recommended the following
12 amendment:

15 On page 12, line 26, through
16 page 13, line 10, delete those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 2. Evidence of the exposed person's substantial
20 occupational exposure to asbestos. If a plaintiff files a
21 civil action alleging an asbestos claim that is based upon
22 cancer of the colon, rectum, larynx, pharynx, esophagus, or
23 stomach and that plaintiff alleges that his or her exposure to
24 asbestos was the result of extended contact with another
25 exposed person who, if the civil action had been filed by the
26 other exposed person, would have met the substantial
27 occupational exposure requirement of this subsection, and the
28 plaintiff alleges that he or she had extended contact with the
29 exposed person during the time period in which that exposed
30 person met the substantial occupational exposure requirement
31 of this subsection, the plaintiff has satisfied the

1 requirements of this subparagraph. The plaintiff in such a
2 civil action must individually satisfy the requirements of
3 paragraph (a), paragraph (b), subparagraph 1. where
4 appropriate, and paragraph (d).
