11 The Committee on Judiciary (Webster) recommended the following
12 amendment:

15 On page 11, lines 8-22, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 b. Evidence of the exposed person's substantial
19 occupational exposure to asbestos. If a plaintiff files a
20 civil action alleging an asbestos-related lung cancer claim
21 and that plaintiff alleges that his or her exposure to
22 asbestos was the result of extended contact with another
23 exposed person who, if the civil action had been filed by the
24 other exposed person, would have met the substantial
25 occupational exposure requirement of this subsection, and the
26 plaintiff alleges that he or she had extended contact with the
27 exposed person during the time period in which that exposed
28 person met the substantial occupational exposure requirement
29 of this subsection, the plaintiff has satisfied the
30 requirements of this subparagraph. The plaintiff in such a
31 civil action must individually satisfy the requirements of
