11 The Committee on Judiciary (Webster) recommended the following
12 amendment:

15 On page 8, between lines 4 and 5,

17 insert:
18 (32) "Substantial occupational exposure" means
19 employment for an extended period of time in industries and
20 occupations in which, for a substantial portion of a normal
21 work year for that occupation, the exposed person did any of
22 the following:
23 (a) Handled raw asbestos fibers;
24 (b) Fabricated asbestos-containing products so that
25 the person was exposed to raw asbestos fibers in the
26 fabrication process;
27 (c) Altered, repaired, or otherwise worked with an
28 asbestos-containing product in a manner that exposed the
29 person on a regular basis to asbestos fibers; or
30 (d) Worked in close proximity to other persons engaged
31 in any of the activities described in paragraphs (a)-(c) in a
