14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 10, line 21, through
16 page 13, line 19, delete those lines,

18 and insert:
19 (3) In a civil action alleging an asbestos claim based
20 upon mesothelioma, or cancer of the colon, rectum, larynx,
21 lung, pharynx, esophagus, or stomach, a prima facie showing is
22 not required. However, a qualified physician must assert that
23 such conditions were caused by asbestos or that asbestos was a
24 substantial contributing factor to the conditions, within a
25 reasonable degree of medical probability.
