13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 1, line 21, through
15            page 4, line 11, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         768.1259  Liability of sellers.--
19         (1)  As used in this section, the term "seller" means a
20  person who sells a product as a retailer, distributor, or
21  wholesaler, or who otherwise transfers a product to another
22  for compensation.
23         (2)  A seller who defends any strict liability claim in
24  a lawsuit brought against it for damages allegedly caused by a
25  product sold by the seller has a full right of indemnification
26  from the manufacturer of the product. Such seller may recover
27  the damages it paid to the claimant, costs and attorney's fees
28  incurred in the defense of the claim, and costs and attorney's
29  fees it incurred in its indemnification claim against the
30  manufacturer.
