19 Section 2. Subsection (6) of section 460.402, Florida
20 Statutes, is amended to read:
21 460.402 Exceptions.--The provisions of this chapter
22 shall not apply to:
23 (6) A chiropractic student enrolled in a chiropractic
24 college accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education
25 and participating in:
26 (a) A community-based internship under the direct
27 supervision of a doctor of chiropractic medicine who is
28 credentialed as an adjunct faculty member of a chiropractic
29 college in which the student is enrolled; or.
30 (b) A chiropractic college clinical internship under
31 the direct supervision of a doctor of chiropractic medicine

1 who is a full-time, part-time, or adjunct faculty member of a
2 chiropractic college that is located in this state and
3 accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education. The
4 board may adopt rules as it deems necessary to administer this
5 paragraph.
6 Section 3. Subsection (4) of section 460.403, Florida
7 Statutes, is amended to read:
8 460.403 Definitions.--As used in this chapter, the
9 term:
10 (4)(a) "Community-based internship" means a program in
11 which a student enrolled in the last year of a chiropractic
12 college accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education is
13 approved to obtain required pregraduation clinical experience
14 in a chiropractic clinic or practice under the direct
15 supervision of a doctor of chiropractic medicine approved as
16 an adjunct faculty member of the chiropractic college in which
17 the student is enrolled, according to the teaching protocols
18 for the clinical practice requirements of the college.
19 (b) "Chiropractic college clinical internship" means a
20 program in which a student who is enrolled in a chiropractic
21 college that is located in this state and accredited by the
22 Council on Chiropractic Education obtains clinical experience,
23 pursuant to the curriculum of such college, in a classroom or
24 chiropractic clinic operated by the college according to the
25 teaching protocols for the clinical practice requirements of
26 the college.
