  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the North Naples Fire

  3         Control and Rescue District, Collier County;

  4         revising the definition of the term "additional

  5         premium tax revenues" for purposes of the

  6         district under chapter 175, Florida Statutes,

  7         relating to firefighter pensions; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  For the purpose of chapter 175, Florida

13  Statutes, and notwithstanding section 175.351(1), Florida

14  Statutes, the term "additional premium tax revenues" for the

15  North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District means those

16  premium tax revenues that exceed $436,036, the amount that the

17  North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District should have

18  received at a minimum pursuant to section 175.121, Florida

19  Statutes, for calendar year 1997.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
