  1                    Senate Resolution No. ____

  2         A resolution recognizing the 50th Anniversary

  3         of the Incorporation of the Town of Redington

  4         Shores.

  5  

  6         WHEREAS, the residents of the unincorporated area now

  7  known as the Town of Redington Shores united together to

  8  create a new municipality, and

  9         WHEREAS, on August 30, 1955, the electors and

10  freeholders of this community gathered together for an

11  election by referendum vote, and

12         WHEREAS, the outcome of the referendum vote

13  incorporated the Town of Redington Shores, and

14         WHEREAS, on August 30, 2005, the Town of Redington

15  Shores is proud to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, and

16         WHEREAS, the Redington Shores Board of Commissioners

17  invites the residents, tourists, and electors of the Town of

18  Redington Shores to gather to express their gratitude and

19  thanks to our forefathers for their foresight in establishing

20  the Town of Redington Shores, NOW, THEREFORE,

21  

22  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

23  

24         That August 30, 2005, is recognized as the 50th

25  Anniversary of the Incorporation of the Town of Redington

26  Shores.
