8Reduction Task Force and providing membership; requiring
9recommendations to minimize the paperwork burden placed on
10school districts and school district personnel; requiring
11a report to the Legislature; providing for abolishment of
12the task force; providing an effective date.

14Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

16     Section 1.  Paper Reduction Task Force.--
17     (1)  The Paper Reduction Task Force shall be established
18for the purpose of recommending strategies to reduce the
19paperwork required of school districts and school district
20personnel, with special emphasis given to the reduction of
21paperwork required of teachers. Recommendations shall include,
22but not be limited to, methods to improve efficiency by
23eliminating, reducing, revising, or consolidating paperwork and
24data collection requirements. The task force shall recommend
25methods to minimize the paperwork burden being placed on school
26districts and school district personnel by evaluating the need
27for information and determining whether access to necessary
28information is already available.
29     (2)  The task force shall consist of the Commissioner of
30Education, three members appointed by the President of the
31Senate, three members appointed by the Speaker of the House of
32Representatives, three members appointed by the Governor, and
33three teachers appointed by the Commissioner of Education.
34     (3)  The task force shall report its findings and
35recommendations to the President of the Senate and the Speaker
36of the House of Representatives by February 1, 2006, and shall
37be abolished upon the transmittal of this report.
38     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
