14 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

16 | Section 1. Paper Reduction Task Force.-- |
17 | (1) The Paper Reduction Task Force shall be established |
18 | for the purpose of recommending strategies to reduce the |
19 | paperwork required of school districts and school district |
20 | personnel, with special emphasis given to the reduction of |
21 | paperwork required of teachers. Recommendations shall include, |
22 | but not be limited to, methods to improve efficiency by |
23 | eliminating, reducing, revising, or consolidating paperwork and |
24 | data collection requirements. The task force shall recommend |
25 | methods to minimize the paperwork burden being placed on school |
26 | districts and school district personnel by evaluating the need |
27 | for information and determining whether access to necessary |
28 | information is already available. |
29 | (2) The task force shall consist of the Commissioner of |
30 | Education, three members appointed by the President of the |
31 | Senate, three members appointed by the Speaker of the House of |
32 | Representatives, three members appointed by the Governor, and |
33 | three teachers appointed by the Commissioner of Education. |
34 | (3) The task force shall report its findings and |
35 | recommendations to the President of the Senate and the Speaker |
36 | of the House of Representatives by February 1, 2006, and shall |
37 | be abolished upon the transmittal of this report. |
38 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
