1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to paperwork reduction in the school
3	districts; requiring the establishment of the Paper
4	Reduction Task Force and providing membership; requiring
5	recommendations to minimize the paperwork burden placed on
6	school districts and school district personnel; requiring
7	a report to the Legislature; providing for abolishment of
8	the task force; providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12	Section 1.  Paper Reduction Task Force.--
13	(1)  The Paper Reduction Task Force shall be established
14	for the purpose of recommending strategies to reduce the
15	paperwork required of school districts and school district
16	personnel, with special emphasis given to the reduction of
17	paperwork required of teachers. Recommendations shall include,
18	but not be limited to, methods to improve efficiency by
19	eliminating, reducing, revising, or consolidating paperwork and
20	data collection requirements. The task force shall recommend
21	methods to minimize the paperwork burden being placed on school
22	districts and school district personnel by evaluating the need
23	for information and determining whether access to necessary
24	information is already available.
25	(2)  The task force shall consist of the Commissioner of
26	Education, three members appointed by the President of the
27	Senate, three members appointed by the Speaker of the House of
28	Representatives, three members appointed by the Governor, and
29	three teachers appointed by the Commissioner of Education.
30	(3)  The task force shall report its findings and
31	recommendations to the President of the Senate and the Speaker
32	of the House of Representatives by February 1, 2006, and shall
33	be abolished upon the transmittal of this report.
34	Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
