11  The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Productivity
12  (Lawson) recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 3, between lines 21 and 22,
16  
17  insert:  
18         (2)  NOTICE OF CONTAMINATION TO USERS OF CONTAMINATED
19  PROPERTY.--Any person responsible for site rehabilitation
20  conducted pursuant to s. 376.3071(5), s. 376.3078(4), s.
21  376.81, or s. 376.30701, shall give actual notice as soon as
22  possible, but no later than 10 days after the discovery of
23  contamination in any medium at the site, to users of the site
24  being rehabilitated. Notice shall also be provided to
25  subsequent users of the property for the duration of the site
26  rehabilitation. To meet the requirement there can be
27  subsequent or ongoing notice. All notice shall include:
28         (a)  The location of the property and contact
29  information for the person responsible for site
30  rehabilitation, its authorized agent, or other representative;
31         (b)  Information regarding the types of contaminants

 1  found and the statutory program under which the site
 2  rehabilitation is being conducted; and
 3         (c) Identification of sources of additional information
 4  about the contamination and a telephone number for the
 5  department where further inquiries should be directed.
