A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to recreational licenses and permits;
3amending s. 372.562, F.S.; revising the exemption from
4recreational license and permit requirements to include
5additional military personnel; reenacting ss. 372.57(1)
6and 372.5717(7), F.S., relating to recreational licenses,
7permits, and authorization numbers and fees and to a
8hunter safety course, respectively, to incorporate the
9amendment to s. 372.562, F.S., in references thereto;
10providing an effective date.

12Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
13
14     Section 1.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section
15372.562, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
16     372.562  Recreational licenses and permits; exemptions from
17fees and requirements.--
18     (2)  A hunting, freshwater fishing, or saltwater fishing
19license or permit is not required for:
20     (c)  Any resident who is a member of the United States
21Armed Forces, the United States Reserve Forces, the Florida
22National Guard, the United States Coast Guard, or the United
23States Coast Guard Reserve, either active or retired and not
24stationed in this state, when home on leave for 30 days or less,
25upon submission of a current military identification card
26orders.
27     Section 2.  For the purpose of incorporating the amendment
28to section 372.562, Florida Statutes, in a reference thereto,
29subsection (1) of section 372.57, Florida Statutes, is reenacted
30to read:
31     372.57  Recreational licenses, permits, and authorization
32numbers; fees established.--
33     (1)  LICENSE, PERMIT, OR AUTHORIZATION NUMBER
34REQUIRED.--Except as provided in s. 372.562, no person shall
35take game, freshwater or saltwater fish, or fur-bearing animals
36within this state without having first obtained a license,
37permit, or authorization number and paid the fees set forth in
38this chapter. Such license, permit, or authorization number
39shall authorize the person to whom it is issued to take game,
40freshwater or saltwater fish, or fur-bearing animals, and
41participate in outdoor recreational activities in accordance
42with the laws of the state and rules of the commission.
43     Section 3.  For the purpose of incorporating the amendment
44to section 372.562, Florida Statutes, in a reference thereto,
45subsection (7) of section 372.5717, Florida Statutes, is
46reenacted to read:
47     372.5717  Hunter safety course; requirements; penalty.--
48     (7)  The hunter safety requirements of this section do not
49apply to persons for whom licenses are not required under s.
50372.562(2).
51     Section 4.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
