11  Senator Bennett moved the following amendment:
12  
13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 85, line 29, through
15            page 86, line 7, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 49.  The Florida Building Commission shall
19  review Modifications 569 and 570 adopted by the commission on
20  October 14, 2003, and take public comment regarding those
21  provisions. The commission shall receive public comment
22  regarding the cost related to compliance with amendments, the
23  capability of industry to supply products necessary for
24  compliance and the benefit of the modifications to the health,
25  safety, and welfare of the citizens of this state.
26  Notwithstanding section 553.73, Florida Statutes, the
27  commission may repeal or modify the modifications in response
28  to the public comments subject only to the rule adoption
29  procedures of chapter 120, Florida Statutes. Modifications 569
30  and 570 may not take effect until the commission has completed
31  the review required or rulemaking initiated in response to

 1  such review, whichever is later, and sections 2304.7(3) and
 2  (5) of the International Building Code (2003), shall govern
 3  construction in this state until that time.

 8         On page 8, lines 21-26, delete those lines
 9  
10  and insert:
11         technician; requiring the Florida Building
12         Commission to review certain provisions of the

14         comments; providing for rulemaking authority;
15         providing effective dates.
