11  The Committee on Government Efficiency Appropriations
12  (Haridopolos) recommended the following amendment to amendment
13  (155634):

15         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
16         On page 75, between lines 26 and 27,
17  
18  insert:  
19         Section 49.  The Florida Building Commission shall
20  convene a workgroup composed of at least 10 stakeholders in
21  the state system of product approval, which may include a
22  maximum of three member of the commission to ensure diverse
23  input. The workgroup shall study the recommendation that the
24  state be served by a single validation entity for state
25  approval, which study shall include, but not be limited to,
26  the recommendation's feasibility, qualifications of the single
27  entity and its staff, costs charged for validation, time
28  standards for validation, means to challenge the validator's
29  determination, and duration of the contract with the
30  validator. The workgroup shall conduct its proceedings in an
31  open forum subject to comment from the public at each meeting.
