11  The Committee on Transportation (Margolis) recommended the
12  following amendment to amendment (753114):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 4, between lines 1 and 2,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 3.  Section 316.092, Florida Statutes, is
19  created to read:
20         316.092 Use of limited access facility shoulder by
21  public transit buses.--In coordination with the Florida
22  Department of Transportation and the appropriate entities that
23  have jurisdiction of the roadway facility, public transit
24  buses shall be authorized to operate on the shoulder of a
25  limited access facility only when main line traffic speeds are
26  less than 35 miles per hour. Drivers of buses being operated
27  on the shoulder may not exceed the speed of main line traffic
28  by more than 15 miles per hour and may never exceed 35 miles
29  per hour. Drivers of buses being operated on the shoulder must
30  yield to merging, entering and exiting traffic and must yield
31  to other vehicles on the shoulder. Buses authorized to use the
