11  The Committee on Criminal Justice (Wise) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 22, lines 20-29, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (b)  A person who violates the provisions of paragraph
19  (a) commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as
20  provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. Each day of continuing
21  violation is a separate offense.
22         (c)  Any person who owns, operates, or maintains an
23  unlicensed nurse registry and who, within 10 working days
24  after receiving notification from the agency, fails to cease
25  operation and apply for a license under this part commits a
26  misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s.
27  775.082 or s. 775.083. Each day of continued operation is a
28  separate offense.
29         (d)  If a nurse registry fails to cease operation after
30  agency notification, the agency may impose a fine of $500 for
31  each day of noncompliance.
