14 Delete everything after the enacting clause

16 and insert:
17 Section 1. Section 290.00710, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 290.00710 Enterprise zone designation for the City of
20 Lakeland.--The City of Lakeland may apply to the Office of
21 Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for designation of
22 one enterprise zone for an area within the City of Lakeland,
23 which zone shall encompass an area up to 10 square miles. The
24 application must be submitted by December 31, 2005, and must
25 comply with the requirements of s. 290.0055. Notwithstanding
26 s. 290.0065, limiting the total number of enterprise zones
27 designated and the number of enterprise zones within a
28 population category, the Office of Tourism, Trade, and
29 Economic Development may designate one enterprise zone under
30 this section. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
31 Development shall establish the initial effective date of the

1 enterprise zone designated pursuant to this section.
2 Section 2. Section 290.0073, Florida Statutes, is
3 created to read:
4 290.0073 Enterprise zone designation for Indian River
5 County, the City of Vero Beach, and the City of
6 Sebastian.--Indian River County, the City of Vero Beach, and
7 the City of Sebastian may jointly apply to the Office of
8 Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for designation of
9 one enterprise zone encompassing an area not to exceed 10
10 square miles. The application must be submitted by December
11 31, 2005, and must comply with the requirements of s.
12 290.0055. Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 290.0065
13 limiting the total number of enterprise zones designated and
14 the number of enterprise zones within a population category,
15 the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development may
16 designate one enterprise zone under this section. The Office
17 of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development shall establish
18 the initial effective date of the enterprise zone designated
19 pursuant to this section.
20 Section 3. Section 290.0074, Florida Statutes, is
21 created to read:
22 290.0074 Enterprise zone designation for Sumter
23 County.--Sumter County may apply to the Office of Tourism,
24 Trade, and Economic Development for designation of one
25 enterprise zone encompassing an area not to exceed 10 square
26 miles. The application must be submitted by December 31, 2005.
27 Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 290.0065 limiting the
28 total number of enterprise zones designated and the number of
29 enterprise zones within a population category, the Office of
30 Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development may designate one
31 enterprise zone under this section. The Office of Tourism,

1 Trade and Economic Development shall establish the initial
2 effective date of the enterprise zone designated pursuant to
3 this section.
4 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
