  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the use of Tasers on minors;

  3         prohibiting the use of a Taser or similar

  4         device on a minor who is in a school or on the

  5         grounds of a school that includes specified

  6         grade levels; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Use of certain stun guns on a minor who is

11  on school grounds.--A person, including, but not limited to, a

12  law enforcement officer may not use a Taser stun gun or a

13  similar conductive-energy device on a minor who is in a school

14  that includes any grade level from prekindergarten through

15  grade 12 or who is on the grounds of such a school.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

17  law.
