8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

10 | Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 193.023, Florida |
11 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
12 | 193.023 Duties of the property appraiser in making |
13 | assessments.-- |
14 | (2) In making his or her assessment of the value of real |
15 | property, the property appraiser is required to inspect |
16 | physically the property every 5 3 years to ensure that the tax |
17 | roll meets all the requirements of law. However, the property |
18 | appraiser shall physically inspect any parcel of taxable real |
19 | property upon the request of the taxpayer or owner. |
20 | Section 2. Paragraph (g) of subsection (6) of section |
21 | 193.501, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: |
22 | 193.501 Assessment of lands subject to a conservation |
23 | easement, environmentally endangered lands, or lands used for |
24 | outdoor recreational or park purposes when land development |
25 | rights have been conveyed or conservation restrictions have been |
26 | covenanted.-- |
27 | (6) The following terms whenever used as referred to in |
28 | this section have the following meanings unless a different |
29 | meaning is clearly indicated by the context: |
30 | (g) "Outdoor recreational or park purposes" includes, but |
31 | is not necessarily limited to, boating, golfing, camping, |
32 | swimming, horseback riding, and archaeological, scenic, or |
33 | scientific sites and applies only to land which is open to the |
34 | general public. "Open to the general public," as applied to a |
35 | golf course, means that the golf course is open for the |
36 | property's normal use to any person who pays the daily access |
37 | fee. The daily access fee may not exceed the lowest fee charged |
38 | to any person. |
39 | Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
