11 The Committee on Agriculture (Haridopolos) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, between lines 28 and 29,

17 insert:
18 Section 2. Paragraph (c) of subsection (1) and
19 subsection (4) of section 601.04, Florida Statutes, are
20 amended to read:
21 601.04 Florida Citrus Commission; creation and
22 membership.--
23 (1)
24 (c) There shall be three four members of the
25 commission from each of the four three citrus districts. Each
26 member must reside in the district from which she or he was
27 appointed. For the purposes of this section, the residence of
28 a member shall be the actual physical and permanent residence
29 of the member.
30 (4) It is the intent of the Legislature that the
31 commission be redistricted every 5 years. Redistricting shall

1 be based on the total boxes produced from each of the four
2 three districts during that 5-year period.
3 Section 3. Paragraph (a) of subsection (4) of section
4 601.154, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
5 601.154 Citrus Stabilization Act of Florida.--
6 (4)(a) Every marketing order issued pursuant to the
7 provisions of this section shall provide for an advisory
8 council to advise the Department of Citrus in the
9 administration thereof. Two members of such advisory council
10 shall be appointed by the commission chair, subject to
11 commission concurrence, from each of the four three citrus
12 districts as defined in s. 601.09 from producer nominees
13 submitted by producers on or before the date of the hearing
14 provided for in subsection (2). To qualify for appointment,
15 such producer nominees shall meet the same qualifications as
16 those for grower members of the commission set forth in s.
17 601.04(1).

27 amending ss. 601.04 and 601.154, F.S., relating
28 to the membership of the Florida Citrus
29 Commission and the Citrus Stabilization Act of
30 Florida; conforming provisions to changes made
31 by the act;
