12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 2, between lines 19 and 20,
16  
17  insert:  
18         (3)(a)  To aid the task force, there is created the
19  Electric Utility Task Force Advisory Panel to provide
20  analysis, advice, and recommendations to the task force
21  regarding the existing electric utility transmission systems
22  and possible changes to the systems and other affected
23  systems, such as telecommunication and cable systems.
24         (b)  The advisory panel shall consist of six members.
25  The President of the Senate shall appoint two members, the
26  Speaker of the House of Representatives shall appoint two
27  members and the Governor shall appoint two members. One member
28  shall be from an electrical power utility company, one member
29  shall be from a telecommunications company, and one member
30  shall be from a cable system company. The remaining members
31  may include representatives from power utility companies,

 1  electrical contractors, telecommunications companies,
 2  telecommunications systems installers, scientist who
 3  specialize in the transmission of power, engineers, and
 4  others. members shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing
 5  official, without compensation, and shall be appointed to
 6  terms that do not exceed 4 years. Any vacancy on the advisory
 7  panel shall be filled in the same manner as the original
 8  appointment.
