1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to reimbursement for lung
3 transplant services for Medicaid recipients;
4 amending s. 409.9062, F.S.; requiring the
5 Agency for Health Care Administration to
6 reimburse lung transplant facilities a global
7 fee for services provided to Medicaid
8 recipients; providing an appropriation;
9 providing an effective date.

11 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13 Section 1. Section 409.9062, Florida Statutes, is
14 amended to read:
15 409.9062 Lung transplant services for Medicaid
16 recipients.--Subject to the availability of funds and subject
17 to any limitations or directions provided for in the General
18 Appropriations Act or chapter 216, the Agency for Health Care
19 Administration Medicaid program shall pay for medically
20 necessary lung transplant services for Medicaid recipients.
21 These payments must be used to reimburse approved lung
22 transplant facilities a global fee for providing lung
23 transplant services to Medicaid recipients.
24 Section 2. The sums of $401,098 from the General
25 Revenue Fund and $593,058 from the Medical Care Trust Fund are
26 appropriated to the Agency for Health Care Administration for
27 the purpose of implementing this act during the 2005-2006
28 fiscal year.
29 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
30 law.
