  2         An act relating to the designation of an

  3         official fruit of the State of Florida;

  4         creating s. 15.0315, F.S.; designating the

  5         orange as the official fruit of the State of

  6         Florida; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Section 15.0315, Florida Statutes, is

11  created to read:

12         15.0315  State fruit.--The orange (Citrus sinensis and

13  hybrids thereof) is hereby designated the official fruit of

14  Florida.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

16  law.
