13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 6, between lines 18 and 19,
15
16 insert:
17 Section 4. (1) A licensee that has failed to renew
18 its ambulatory surgical center license may meet the
19 requirements of the Florida Building Code which were in effect
20 at the time of its original licensure for the purposes of an
21 initial application if:
22 (a) The license expired between July 1, 2004 and
23 December 31, 2004.
24 (b) The initial license application was filed within
25 30 days after the license expired.
26 (c) The ambulatory surgical center is in compliance
27 with regulatory requirements based upon agency inspection.
28 (2) This section applies only to the initial
29 application for licensure and does not circumvent any
30 requirement to meet current Florida Building Code requirements
31 or other modifications.

7 Delete everything before the enacting clause

9 and insert:
10 A bill to be entitled
11 An act relating to health care; creating a
12 commission to study the effect of the 2004
13 hurricane season on certain hospitals and
14 identify hospitals unable to comply with the
15 Florida Building Code or located in flood-prone
16 areas; providing for membership, reimbursement,
17 and duties of the study commission; requiring
18 the Department of Community Affairs to provide
19 staff for the study commission; requiring the
20 commission to submit a report and
21 recommendations to the Governor and the
22 Legislature; creating a health insurance plan
23 study group; specifying membership; requiring
24 the study group to investigate certain issues
25 relating to health insurance plans; requiring
26 the group to meet and submit recommendations to
27 the Governor and the Legislature; directing the
28 Office of Program Policy Analysis and
29 Government Accountability to conduct a study to
30 evaluate whether the State of Florida should
31 join the Nurse Licensure Compact; allowing an
