  1                Senate Joint Resolution No. _____

  2         A joint resolution proposing the repeal of

  3         Section 26 of Article X of the State

  4         Constitution, relating to prohibition of

  5         medical license after repeated medical

  6         malpractice.

  8  Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         That the repeal of Section 26 of Article X of the State

11  Constitution is agreed to and shall be submitted to the

12  electors of this state for approval or rejection at the next

13  general election or at an earlier special election

14  specifically authorized by law for that purpose.

15         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following statement be

16  placed on the ballot:

17                     CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

18                      ARTICLE X, SECTION 26

19         PROHIBITION OF MEDICAL LICENSE AFTER REPEATED MEDICAL

20  MALPRACTICE.--Proposing the repeal of Section 26 of Article X

21  of the State Constitution, which section prohibits licensing,

22  or the continued licensing of, a person as a medical doctor

23  who has been found to have committed three or more incidents

24  of medical malpractice.
