13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 4, between lines 8 and 9,

16  insert:  
17         Section 2.  Paragraph (f) of subsection (4) of section
18  381.0405, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19         381.0405  Office of Rural Health.--
20         (4)  COORDINATION.--The office shall:
21         (f)  Assume responsibility for state coordination of
22  the Rural Hospital Transition Grant Program, the Essential
23  Access Community Hospital Program, and other federal rural
24  hospital and rural health care grant programs.
25         Section 3.  Section 381.0409, Florida Statutes, is
26  created to read:
27         381.0409  Coordination with federal health professional
28  recruitment and placement programs.--The department may
29  coordinate with the Federal Government to designated health
30  professional shortage areas and medically underserved areas,
31  to recommend foreign physicians for visa waivers, to document
